Felicia Melton-Smyth, well-known supporter and philanthropist within the Madison area GLBT community, was murdered in her penthouse hotel room early this morning (Memorial Day, 2008) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Felicia arrived in Mexico Saturday, May 24th, with a group of Madison area vacationers. At approximately 12:30 a.m. Memorial Day morning, the group's organizer walked in on the scene taking place. Unfortunately, Felicia was already mortally wounded. The suspect is currently in custody in Puerto Vallarta.
The site will be dedicated to continuing the network of communication Felicia has been providing the LGBT community.
